Post-Race Party

The Rocky Canyon Sailtoads are proud to offer an amazing post-race party for race participants, and their family and friends who have purchased Spectator Bus Passes.  The money collected by the race through entry fees and the sale of Spectator Bus Passes is used to defray race expenses, including the cost of food and drinks served at the party.  No one associated with the Race to Robie Creek™ receives compensation.  All money collected in excess of expenses is contributed to charity.  To ensure that we are able to contribute as much as possible to charity, we request that any family or friends of race participants who wish to eat at the post-race party purchase a Spectator Bus Pass.  Please help us continue to help people in need.

Beer at the post-race party will be served ONLY to RACE PARTICIPANTS and GUESTS WHO HAVE PURCHASED SPECTATOR BUS PASSES.  All race participants and guests who wish to consume beer will be required to present proof that they are twenty-one (21) years or older and obtain a wristband as they enter the park.  Race participants will be able to use their race bibs, on which their ages will be printed, as proof that they are “participants” and of legal age.  The bibs will be marked to reflect that a wristband has been given to the participant. Guests will be required to present their Spectator Bus Pass and a State issued photo ID card.  Spectator Bus Passes will be collected as the wristbands are given out.  NO ONE WILL BE SERVED BEER WITHOUT THE RACE DAY WRISTBAND While properly wristbanded participants and guests can go through the beer line more than once, they will be served only one beer at a time.  There will be security in the park to ensure that no one without a wristband is consuming beer.  The Rocky Canyon Sail Toads urge you to please drink responsibly.  If you are driving, do not consume beer at the post-race party.  We appreciate your cooperation.

Each year, there is a limited number of “Spectator Bus Passes” available for purchase to accommodate guests of the race participants at the finish line and post-race party.  Based on available limits, Spectator Bus Passes may be purchased:  1) with initial registration; 2) during second chance drawing; or 3) at packet pickup. RACE PARTICIPANTS AND OFFICIAL VOLUNTEERS DO NOT NEED A BUS PASS  — ONLY GUESTS NEED A “SPECTATOR BUS PASS”

Because parking and access to the finish line for the race is severely restricted on race day, the Rocky Canyon Sailtoads provide a shuttle bus service between two outside parking areas — 1) Idaho Parks and Recreation on Warm Springs (near the Shakespeare Theater) and, 2) the Spring Shores marina at Lucky Peak reservoir off Highway 21.

There is NO PARKING AT, OR DIRECT ACCESS TO, THE FINISH LINE AREA at Robie Creek campground on race day.  Please park at one of our two organized parking sites at either:  1) Idaho Parks and Recreation on Warm Springs (near Shakespeare Theater); or 2) Spring Shores marina at Lucky Peak reservoir off Highway 21.  Parking overnight is allowed after 6 pm on Friday night at either parking area, and PLEASE TRY TO CARPOOL since parking is always tight.

Bus service from either parking area into the finish area is available for:  1) all volunteers with their volunteer shirt; or, 2) all guests with a Spectator Bus Pass.

Departures from the finish area at Robie Creek campground start about 12:30 pm and run continuously until all race participants are gone.  All race participants, volunteers and spectators (with pass) will be returned to Spring Shores. Those who parked at Idaho Parks & Recreation will transfer to a different bus at Spring Shores and be transported on to Parks & Recreation.

If you need to go to Fort Boise sooner than that you should make other arrangements.
